I've heard from the locals of Muar, that this stall selling rojak and 五香 is very popular. The queue gets extremely during and after lunch hours. Actually, we visited this place the day before but was disappointed to find out that it was already closed for the day. We reached about 5pm but isn't that the time when people starts to gather for afternoon tea sessions ? Maybe the business is really so good that it was all sold out after lunch hours.

This is the stall selling the 五香. The stall beside it is selling the rojak but I believe both of the stalls are actually operated by the same owner.

This is the 五香 that we've ordered. You get a combination of it...sausages, fish cakes, prawn biscuits, beancurd, etc...all for RM6 only. You will dip each of the items with the accompanying home-made chilli sauce, which I think in this case, plays a very important role.

The rojak from the stall beside. I love it as well, very thick rojak sauce with generous toppings of grounded peanuts plus the fresh and chilled ingredients ... makes it hard for one not to keep going for the rojak.

The ABC ice kacang with a scoop of strawberry ice-cream. Very normal and stingy on the red beans/grass jelly. I usually like mine with generous dressings of chocolate syrup.

Food: 7.0/10
Price: 6.5/10
Service: 6.5/10
Conclusion:The next time you are in Muar town, take an hour off and head towards the Muar river off Jalan Peteri. The stalls are located within a hawker centre. The rojaks and 五香 is a must try but try to head there earlier before the afternoon crowd starts to gather. Recommended.
