Cedele's first flagship store was in East coast, and today it has expanded to a chain with more that 20 outlets ! An impressive feat considering it was founded in 1997. Although it is my first visit to the Cedele store at Rail Mall, I really enjoy the simplistic design in the cafe, very clean and neat lines. Not to mention the range of healthy food they have on the menu.  For a person like me who likes to watch his diet constantly and does not want to indulge in excessive calories, this is a perfect place ! Cosy environment + healthy food :)

I was first introduced to this stall by a friend of mine, still remember vividly that it was after work that we met up for dinner. Back then, the stall is located at Commonwealth Ave Food Centre, which is a stone throw away from their current new outlet. Somehow, I just enjoy having chicken..steamed chicken to be exact, dipped in the mixture of chilli and ginger paste with a generous dressing of dark soy sauce. Nice !!!

Well, today I wasn't supposed to be here for lunch, not at this hour of the day but somehow my colleagues and I have managed to find a way to get ourselves "lost", en route to our company's teambuilding at Sentosa. Haha ! Seems like this stall is really famous in Singapore, they still have photos up on the wall which was taken with the current President of Singapore.

We were quite skeptical about the food when we 1st visited this outlet 1 or 2 years back, and it doesn't help with this "creative" name they have for the restaurant. Nonetheless, we still gave it a try back then because they were one of the few places available for dinner when we moved into this new neighbourhood. They definitely did not disappoint til today, serving yummy food at reasonable prices and the all-smiley faces of their staffs.

Today's order for our dinner ... Fried bittergourd with salted egg, BB braised pork, signature toufu, fried vegetables and claypot curry fish slices.

This air-conditioned eating outlet is located in the midst of banks-dominated area, Taman Molek. They serve a wide variety of local and HK cuisines (those which you usually find at 茶餐厅), and also a good selection of drinks as well. I don't usually frequent this place because I'm not really a fan of those 茶餐厅 in Malaysia, I find them less authentic compared to the ones I had in Hong Kong and definitely a notch down when it comes to the food. To be fair, the drinks they served are not bad and comes in many variations with fanciful names to it and it will be a great place for you to chill out and relax.

I did not manage to take alot of pictures during my trip there yesterday as my family has already finished their food when I arrived. Blame it on the jam !! Got me stuck there for quite a while. So just make do with it, with the limited shots that I've taken and I'll try to post more when I head back there again in the future ;)

It was an idyllic Sunday for most of the people around but apparently not so for me. Was back from work the morning as I have to stay behind in office in anticipation of the scheduled downtime for my systems in the wee hours of the morning. A very lethargic me, in comparison to the crowds buzzing in the small, rustic eating outlet.
This place serves very good otak otak, something different from the kind you get from Muar. It's those wrapped in 2 pieces of banana leaf, something you would usually see at the mamak stalls but this is not as reddish and tasted much better, more succulent and softer. The stall has been around for as long as I can remember and there are countless loyal customers that would flock back every now and then (e.g. me & my family), weekly or even daily just for simple, no frills breakfast.

A modernised "kopi-tiam" that has been sprouting in almost every single popular township of Johor Bahru. Tea Garden has been around since 2005 and they serve local delicacies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On top of that, one can be spoilt for choices with the vast selections of drinks and desserts available on the menu.. Today we headed out to one of the branches located at Taman Johor Jaya.
Al-Azhar Eating House is located along a stretch of shophouses opposite Beauty World Plaza. Mamak-ing isn't exactly what I always wanted to try out while in Singapore. I always felt there's less burden on the wallet and get at least 50% off the price on the food, when I mamak in Johor Bahru as compared to Singapore.

However, I'm beginning to change my mindset when I visited Al-Azhar. The selections of food are massive and it certainly took me a while to decide what I wanted to order, and still tinkering with the idea of ordering a western food, roti john, murtabak and nasi lemak at the back of my head. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but hey that's because they just simply have too much selections to choose from that I can't set my mind on a single one.

A very belated addition to my blog. I should have posted up these pictures a week ago but was bogged down by laziness, hence waited til tonight to post it up.

TGI Friday is a favourite hangout place for my family, or strictly speaking...my mum. Food is not bad but I still feel the inconsistencies when it comes to the quality of the food, leaves much to be desired. The chefs did a good job MOST of the time, but sometimes it just let us down. A point to note though, whenever you order steak, just remember to bring a notch down on how well you want it to be done (example...you will order it medium-well, when actually you would like it well-done), in this case the steak would turn out just fine according to your specifications. Have tried it many times and it works for me :)
