This is the place we stopped by for a quick lunch en-route to Kota Iskandar and Puteri Harbour in Nusajaya. Reviews from the web on seafood restaurants in Gelang Patah is far and few but I've managed to list out a few. Initially, we wanted to go for Restaurant Tian Lai which is a few metres further down the road but couldn't manage to secure a parking slot, so we did a U-turn and head to Chua Kee instead.

Just to side-track abit and fill you up on my itinerary. A visit to Puteri Harbour and the yachts in the background ...

源自台湾的其中一个著名美食招牌 鼎太蘴,各地应该都有不少的拥护者吧。。遍布东南亚各国,新加坡,马来西亚,印尼,泰国等等都设有分店,可说已经一步一步迈向国际化了。我这位住在市区的乡巴佬,却只听闻可从来没吃过,每次都听朋友们说有多么的好吃。
这次的曼谷之旅,碰巧在曼谷Central World闲逛时,碰上了鼎,相见不如偶遇,修改了原定的晚餐地点,就决定在此解决。 因为是过了用餐繁忙时段,我们也不需要排队就马上有位子了。环境挺不错,餐厅内依然客满,可想而知他们家的生意有多么好!

我知道很多朋友们都摸不着头脑,觉得我为什么要大老远到曼谷吃鼎太蘴?遍地都是当地美食,要吃不如回到马国或去台湾。现在就此澄清,只是有人看我可怜没吃过鼎的小笼包,要请我大餐,所以我就恭敬不如从命咯。呵呵呵!

光海鲜是这次我们曼谷行里,其中一项必到的景点。在网路上翻查了很多讯息,也看了不少照片,觉得就算离市中心远了点,还需要特地搭地铁,要走点路也在所不惜。其实是走了很长的一段路哦,大约花了我们最少15分钟。一下机放了行李在酒店,就拖着疲惫的身体,往前冲直达目的地。那种渴望满足食欲的毅力,是无比的强烈。

要找到光,其实说容易也没那么简单,说不容易也不难,我们就是凭着一份信念,一路往前走。首先要搭地铁至Huai Khwang MRT,然后由2号出口左转直走15分钟。看似简单,不过当你走了一段路后,就会不停质疑是否错过了或往不同的方向迈进?

记得。。要保持信念哦!相信自己是对的!!

This is my first visit to the newly opened Renaissance Hotel in Permas Jaya. I have heard the buffet spread here is comparable to another newly launched hotel - Traders Hotel @ Puteri Harbor. Although having paid for countless buffet treats in Johor Bahru, many would concur that so far none has shown to be on par with what is offered in our neighboring country - be it varieties on table or seafood.
Undeniably, Johor Bahru still has some catch up to do, but with the entry of these 2 (potential) game changers, I see some light at the end of the tunnel and possibly more options for our buffet lovers in the future.

说到哥打丁宜,自然而然会联想起的就是夜间荧火虫,瀑布和强记肉骨茶。说来也奇怪,在这郊外路旁也可以找到美食。其实要找到他并不难,如果是从丰盛港南下新山市区的话,他就在您左边,而往丰盛港码头出发的朋友就要留意右手边咯。

档口围着一排一排的车子,绝对不会错过的。要是你误认他只有当地人光顾的话,就大错特错了!来访的客人来自四方,开着豪华轿车,4轮驱动车,跑车,当然也有我驾着的马来西亚货。。哈哈。

要是周末到访的话,我看要找个座位都难咯,慢慢等吧。。就连今天是周日也门庭若市。这种生意。。。吓死人咯!呵呵呵


边等边拍照咯,反正那么多人等。先在档口旁的杂货店买个雪糕吃,肚子饿了。



终于好不容易的等到了一个位子,有的吃了!第一道上桌 - 砂锅卤猪脚。确实很不错,猪脚卤到很够味,肉质也非常的嫩。这卤汁淋在饭里,绝佳享受啊!不管是不是卤猪脚的粉丝的你,吃过了也会赞不绝口(因为本人就不是一个猪脚粉丝)。

这锅肉骨茶是我们的吗?热呼呼摆在眼前,真叫人垂涎欲滴,而且还是用煤炭的呢!保留传统,我喜欢 :) 佳肴送入肚里后,说真的,觉得这肉骨茶其实不怎样。还蛮一般的叻。

嫌肉骨茶和猪脚太单调?那就加个乌达和油条。乌达里塞满了很多扎实的鱼肉,味道也不错。油条就别管那么多了,浸泡在肉骨茶汤里,好坏都一样。



吃饱了,就要还钱咯。老板娘非常非常的有礼貌。赞!



提醒大家,他们星期一休息哦!千万别大老远驾车过去,不然可要失望而归。

Conclusion: 强记肉骨茶就好像是一个往丰盛港或哥打丁宜,必到的景点。老板娘服务态度佳,食物也很不错,而且在路旁都可以把生意做到那么好,也算是个奇迹。大家不妨到此一探究竟,瞧瞧看他生意有多么的夸张。

听说这家海鲜餐馆-金城小厨的菜色不错,是我爸爸朋友强烈推荐的。如果是Desa Tebrau的居民应该不会对他很陌生吧。
星期天,我们一家大小决定出外用餐,妈妈也懒惰煮饭所以就去那儿一探究竟。餐馆外观很不起眼,和许许多多的店面并列一排,没仔细留意还会错过了呢!

Over the past weekend, I am fortunate to have my family with me on this exploration trip to MAIO, a well hidden gem tucked into the back seat of M Suites Hotel. I'm pretty confident not much Johoreans are aware of its existence, and hopefully not for long as it would truly be a waste for it to vanish from the local arena.

听有些人天天念,不断的吵着。。“淡杯烫鱼很有名,很好吃,从以前吃到现在“ - 那赞不决口的语气,看着她,我感觉她口水全都要留出来了!美女是不可以那么失礼,没形象的哦!哈哈哈。。有一天就那么巧,正好要去附近service我的宝贝车子,就约了她一起去吃。兴福坐落于一条巷子内,就位于Mercedes-Benz陈列室 (Skudai)的旁边。

到了那里,会看见很多旧式咖啡店,不过我认为兴福的地标就是门前绿绿的竹子。看上去是一间破旧的老店,没什么装潢,也不是很干净,我犹豫了。。一下下。。还是硬着头皮踏入店内。

美女就去点菜了,而我就选择坐在里头,有点闷热不过好心的老板就帮我开了风扇,感觉凉爽多了。问了美女点什么,她还卖关子,说到了就会知道咯。好。。。我就拭目以待 :)

飞镖炸鱼粿条汤最近在新山其中一个旺区Mount Austin开设了分行,位于闹市的一角,客似云来,好多人哦!好奇的我(连同家人)也参与了一份 :) 食物真的很不错,我比较喜欢他们的干面,家人却喜欢炸鱼片汤。据说,他们的辣沙也是一级棒的,下次有机会再来尝。

除了食物外,本人也觉得他们的饮料很值得,有爱玉冰,龙眼水。。。全都下足料,也不会太贵。每一杯大约RM3-4左右。

Finally I can put pen to paper, a long overdue article of Re Della Pasta. This is my 2nd visit to the F&B chain, my 1st was at KSL shopping centre (you can read my article here). Gut instinct from the initial encounter was, Re Della can provide me with the much needed ammunition to conjure a decent review, with its extensive, yet creative range of items on the menu. It can be a daunting task for one to vet through it, facing constant bombardment by names of Italian dishes being hurled towards me. The constant flipping back and forth doesn't help and only adds on to one's dilemma. Having said that, amidst all the dilemmas and confusions, there will definitely be something in the list that will manage to tempt one's palate.

This is JB Foodie's second ever invitation to an event, this time by a well-known Japanese chain restaurant in Malaysia - Sushi King. The honor is all mine, to become a part of their special Facebook Fan Chat event at KSL City.  Many thanks to David, for making the effort to drop me emails and waiting patiently for my ever dismal response, without which the invite would not materialize :)

何成記可说是新山历史最悠久的其中一家云吞面摊,打从1940年开始至今已经70多年了!真的不是开玩笑的,那个时候我爸妈都还没出世呢!当年何前辈就位于Jalan Siu Name与Jalan Meldrum交界处开了一个小档口,各位老新山人都应该对这地方很熟啦!现在坡底MBF银行对面就是了。搬迁了4次,今日落脚于新山世纪花园 Taman Century,步行可达KSL City, 11@Century和Holiday Plaza。

Batu Pahat 敬香团之旅 - 最后一站

这次的敬香团之旅是由OKGo JB举办,并带团的。我也非常荣幸受邀参与一份。其实这次的旅程就带我去了许多的景点,包括各式坡的著名美食(例如贪吃街,坡乌打,旧戏院炒果条)Batu Pahat琳琅满目的不同庙宇。

从Batu Pahat回返新山前的最后一站,就是这家兼卖西餐和娘惹佳肴的餐厅。饱餐一顿后,就可以一路睡到家了,好享受哦!

不管你是Desaru一日游,来看鸵鸟,参观水果园,还是坐船从新加坡远到来四湾岛骑脚车,海鲜大餐一定是必点必吃的一个项目。四湾岛本身就是一个小渔村,拥有丰富的海产,不过最近会在此开设的炼油厂好像会带来不必要的环境污染,虽然说政府一再强调这不是问题。这一切的一切又不知道对这小渔村的未来和数于百计的渔民居民会带来怎样的冲击?不过吃还是要吃,那就乘海水没备受污染前,吃个痛快!哈哈

Got a deal for this over Groupon again, paying RM15 for a RM30 cash voucher. Needless to say, it just wasn't enough to cover the expenses one has to spend over here for a meal. RM30 can't probably get you a plate of pasta to be honest, more likely offsetting the service charge and government tax. It wasn't my first time here, second time as a matter of fact but it could possibly be my last time.

Had a rather disappointing experience the first time round, but nonetheless greed prompted me to get the Groupon voucher and give this place another shot. I couldn't describe how disappointed I was (not with the food, but specifically the manager). One knows how irritating to be constantly bombarded with offers for meal upgrades, how about trying our Wagyu, how about going for Japanese scallops instead of frozen ones, how about more appetizer to go with your meal or how about having some wine .. and it goes on and on even with my constant refusal to budge.

最近天气都比较冷,天天下着绵绵细雨。JB Foodie 我也想着吃些热呼呼的食物暖暖身子。
新山其实有很多,数不尽的火锅兼铁板烧店。有些是ala-carte或buffet,各式各样都有。我本人比较喜欢的就是好好火锅和今天所要介绍的田园粥底火锅。

利用粥来代替普篇的鸡,tomyam和麻辣汤底应该很有新鲜感吧。这幅有创意的火锅料理,对外国人来说应该很少见(其实他们已经有很多分行,不仅限于新山。其他州也有他们的踪迹)。

大排档就坐落在新山美乐花园,前后左右都围绕着好吃的美食。早餐可以选择吃阿明潮洲果条汤,午餐可以吃酿豆腐,晚餐就可以选择大排档或星记咖哩鱼头。除了这些,这地方就没什么特别的了。这也不是我第一次观临 了,不过每次来到都必点一些他们的招牌菜。
