JB Foodie is grateful for receiving an invitation from the Management @ Vino Vino & Mr Wisley, to check out their outlet in Taman Molek. For starter, Vino is Italian for wine & boldly underlines the ambition and direction Vino Vino is heading for.

They feature an extensive selections of wine, sake and soju to those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Smokers will be delighted to know Vino Vino have cordoned off an entire level on the second floor, so that one may eat, drink and smoke to their heart's content.

A sanctuary for booze on the upper deck of Vino Vino.

For consumers who are willing to go beyond RM1500, they have private KTV facilities available.

And from all regions across the globe.

Used wine corks

Bottled H2O from the hills of Tuscany.

Yakitori on the grill, prepared with the finest ingredient and dedication by the kitchen. A splendid example of paying attention to every minute details, even the coal lighting up the grill was specially imported from Japan.

Cosy, classy and well renovated in every corners, nobody can be faulted if they mistook Vino Vino as a setup for fine dining. On the contrary, they are offering authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price.

This place needs no further introduction, as I've done so in my previous post. It's one of my parents' favorite place for a luncheon, 忙里偷闲, shying away from the hot tropical sun. In recent times, that biased perception in me, of the Hong Kong cafes out there serving crappy food has also started receding with a large part attributed to Let's Eat. I'm beginning to see the light and accept Hong Kong cafes in Johor Bahru with a different perspective.

What's best on a cold, rainy weekend ? Steamboat !!! Nothing beats having a boiling pot of soup at the center of the dining table. The most widely available soup bases we've known are chicken broth, tom yam or even with porridge (which reminds me of 田园火锅).

Hidden along the row of shophouses in Taman Molek, Han BBQ is a lesser known sibling to the famous restaurants around. I called it famous simply because the place is crowded and has earned some rave reviews from my relatives who visited it. Let's see how it fares in comparison to my own taste buds.

Let's talk about the 1st impression it gave me, place is buzzling with people, not very cold and well ventilated, and their lack of staffs. It's very obvious they need an increase in manpower, with the amount of customers filling up the place.

Typical of all Korean restaurants, they will serve up a series of their appetizers while we wait for the main. The usual appetizers.

I came across this place from one of my friend's check-in via Facebook. I thought I can check out this new place since my family ran out of ideas where to go for lunch today. The place is not hard to find but due to its location, parking is scarce. That did not deter us from dropping by and luckily it's a trip worth the effort. They offered a variety of claypot rice/noodles and also serves some other ala carte dishes.

Help needed !!! We are experiencing a very hot afternoon here in Malaysia. The scorching hot sun is making us look for an alternative to sit back and relax on a Saturday, before finally deciding to settle down at Baskin Robbins, the nearest outlet to my Dad's office.

I ordered a single scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, topped with chocolate syrup and ground nuts.
