Luncheon at Cincin Restaurant 津津酒楼

These days, a trip up to Kluang is never complete without a visit to Cincin, be it for lunch or dinner (refer to my previous post). The restaurant has naturally turn out to be one of the must-visit places for my family trip, besides paying pilgrimage to the infamous Kluang Lim coffee shop and yong tau foo (yet to be reviewed).

Braised pork ribs with stout 黑狗排骨. Ribs are tender and generously coated with sauce (cooked with stout). Although I can't smell any whim of it and if any, its minimal at best. Foodies who doesn't mind the lack of it, do try it out because it's actually a very delectable dish. Rating: 7.0/10.

Sweet & sour fish. The slices are somewhat different from what we get elsewhere, this is thinner but crispier, offering an entirely different texture. Thick fish fillet are good but thin, crunchy slices like these have its strong points too. Eventually it all boils down to personal preferences and both alike are acceptable to me, last but not least their servings are big ! Slices and slices of it. Rating: 8.0/10.

Specialty beancurd 招牌豆腐. Same as my previous review of it, the beancurd is smooth but yet somehow the taste just doesn't quite appeal to me. I still like my beancurd atop a hot plate. Hehe. Rating: 6.0/10.

Stir fried kangkong with sambal 马来风光. The simplest dish amongst all and seriously, how wrong can one go with fried vegetables ? Sambal is savoury but could do more by upping the hot factor. Rating: 6.5/10.

Price: 8.5/10

Service: 7.5/10

Conclusion: All the above, with 2 bowls of rice and tea adds up to ~RM30 only !!! That's a real bargain in my opinion, and you can never ever get this sort of prices in Johor Bahru. Way too expensive man ... time to bring down the living cost. This is a must visit if you ever make a day trip to Kluang. Highly Recommended.
